Ephraim Meir, "Buber's Contribution on Interreligious Theology: An Evaluation"

In this lecture, Prof. Meir will discuss Buber's contribution to interreligious theology. Initially he describes the nature of interreligious or dialogical theology. Next, he depicts Buber's interreligious thoughts, especially as expressed in I and Thou and in Two Types of Faith. In the third and last part of the lecture, he critically evaluates Buber's relationship to other religions and present the way in which he contributed to the emerging new field of interreligious theology.

Ephraim Meir is a professor in the Department of Philosophy at Bar-Ilan University.
